Inspired by the beautiful image of the Japanese Koi, this felted fish calmly swims over a pond covered with floating cherry blossoms.

This Koi was sculpted of 100% Romney wool. All the wool was hand-colored using non-toxic dyes, & his shading was made by airbrushing fabric paint ontop. He sits mounted by 2 acrylic posts hovering above his "pond". The water was poured of clear-casting resin, and the felt cherry blossoms are permanently glued to the base.
